Discipling 12
Lesson 1
The Nature of God
Concept:
As we begin in our quest to be a disciple, we need
to know the one that we are going to follow. As we
spend time with the Lord then we will look and act
like the Lord. You will always imitate the people
that are always around you. So let’s associate with
God. We need the Spirit of God to bring us a
revelation of who God really is. We have the opportunity
to fellowship with the God of all creation. He
said that He is waiting to come in and communicate
with us. II Peter 1:4 says we have the very nature
of God, we have the mind of Christ, and we have the
Spirit of God living in us. It is time that we allow
the Spirit of God to show us what all these New
Creation Realities really mean. WE NEED TO KNOW THE LORD.
Scripture Application:
The best way to understand God is by looking at the

and character of God reflected in these names.

And God said to him, "I am God Almighty ; be fruitful and increase
in number. A nation and a community of nations will come from you,
and kings will come from your body. Ex 6:3 I appeared to Abraham,

Summary:
God wants to be all of these things to you and me. We need to begin
to access all that God is for us. Begin to declare that He is your
provider. Call Him by name. Such as we have we give unto you in the
Name of Jesus rise up and walk.
Action:
Begin to read the scriptures that identify the names of God and this
will help you know the Lord in a greater dimension. Take three of the
Names of God and meditate on them. Read and reread the scriptures that
relate to that name. We will share the transformation the next time
we are together.
