What We Believe

South Coast Fellowship is an interdenominational church that has a heart to see people receive Christ as their Lord and Savior. Our vision statement is Win - Disciple - Send and for each person to emerge as a person of influence. We want everyone to be a part of the Family of God and to be discipled in the ways of the Lord. We are not people who are “tossed around by every wind of doctrine, but are rooted and grounded in the Word of God.” We want to resemble the trees in Psalm 92 that are “flourishing in the house of the Lord.” We are committed to see everyone released into the place of significance that the Lord has prepared for them to occupy. Just as God had a place prepared for each tribe of Israel more than 2000 years ago, He also has a place of influence for each of us today. Read More...

Statement of Faith

1 Corinthians 12:12-18; Ezra 3:8-13

South Coast Fellowship was established and exists as a viable part of the Body of Christ and the Kingdom of God, under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:18-21; Psalm 32:1-2

We believe that it is God's love, extended to us by His grace, that enables us to become a living part of the Body of Christ. Because of that love we now offer ourselves to others as representatives of God's Kingdom.

2 Timothy 3:16-17; Psalm 19:7-11

We believe that the Word of God is inerrant and infallible, as well as uncompromising, and should be taught in its fullness, allowing for applicable revelation wherever lives are receptive.

1 John 5:7; Genesis 1:26

We believe that there is an eternal, unified, triune Godhead, in which each part is equal in every divine perfection, executing distinct but harmonious offices.

John 3:16-18; Isaiah 6:5-7

We believe that man without God is eternally lost, and that salvation can only be attained through the grace that He offers in and through Jesus Christ.

John 4:23-24; Psalm 29:1-2

We believe that because God is Spirit, our worship of Him should be spiritual, as well as intelligent and fruitful.

Acts 2:16-21; Joel 2:28-32

We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is the glorious infilling of the promised Comforter to empower the believer from on high for ministry and inspired speaking in service to the Lord Jesus Christ. We also hold that all gifts (manifestations) of the Spirit, given to the Body of Christ, are valid for the balance, equipping, and service in and for that Body.

Mark 16:17-18; Isaiah 53:4-5

We believe that divine healing is the power of God, in the Lord Jesus Christ's name, made manifest in His Body today. Therefore, we believe that, through faith and obedience, His representatives on earth today can operate in the health and wholeness that surrounds the Godhead now and permeated the life and ministry of Christ on earth.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Zechariah 12:8-10

We believe that the second coming of Jesus Christ is imminent and that He, Himself, will return in "clouds of glory" to receive his faithful Church.

Luke 6:38; Malachi 3:8-12

We believe that giving is an irreversible principle of God's Kingdom. Therefore, giving of time, energy, and finances is both taught and practiced. Giving tithe and offering, time and ministry, is an outflow of what God has placed in us to pass on to others.

John13:34-35; Deuteronomy 6:5-9

We believe that the true sign of a child of God is love. Thus, we have geared our ministry and lives to embrace the full parameters of all that is encompassed in God's love, and we have committed ourselves to live out that love in word and deed.
