Six Weeks of Education Principles

Next class begins Sunday, October 10 - November 21, 2010

5:30pm - 7:00pm • PowerHouse B

If I am going to be salt and light in education, then I must be a creative person who is solution minded. No one likes to be around a person who is always negative and talking failure and disaster about education in general and our school specifically. The contrast is true is that everyone wants a problem solver on the team. I do not want to be a problem solver to bring attention to me but so that I can boast in the Lord and demonstrate to people watching that a creative God works through people who are open to Him. Christ is in us and He has the solutions before we realize we have a problem. I should be able to give insight and offer creativity since I have the mind of Christ and I am tuned into the Creator of the Universe. I want my classroom to be a buzz of activity that is fresh and exciting. That is only going to take place when I allow the Lord to work through me.

Christians need to be the ones who have new techniques and creative ideas. We also are to speak words in the proper season so everyone is encouraged and hopeful that answers are possible. Daniel was able to save all the astrologers and magicians because the Lord gave him the interpretation of the King’s dream. We have the same God in us so we should be able to interpret the students and Principals problem and turn the problem into a place of success. Our department/school should be known as the “ Solution School ”. Christians should be able to bring new ways of work and efficiency into the work place.

We can use the power of the Holy Spirit to also change the atmosphere of our classroom and school. There is always a Spiritual Battle taking place in Education, we should be able to use our weapons and calm the spiritual waves and calm the spiritual seas. We can p ray during our lunch, before school, or during our preparation time and fight the necessary spiritual battles to cause our classroom to be peaceful and quiet place instead of a place of strife. Remember, we are carrying God into our schools. We are not going to allow others to take God out of our schools. We want the Lord to be Lord of our school and our education system.
