D12 Groups

D12 stands for Discipling 12

It is based on the model that Jesus followed when He ministered on earth. The groups consist of people who want to study the Bible, fellowship and pray together. You will be prayed for and loved on, not condemned. You also will mature as the group stays accountable to each other and learn to give your gifts away.

The actual size of the groups vary, however, the goal is 12 people. If the group gets too large, the intimacy of a "small group" is lost.

Men's, Women's and Couple Groups

There are groups for men, women, and couples. You can select which day of the week is best for you. Most groups meet twice a month on the same day of the week.

More Than a Bible Study

There are 34 lessons on the website (written by Pastor Larry) that you can access for study. (Access here) All of the lessons are on DVD, as well, to help you understand what the theme of the lesson is all about. Sometimes, a group might read and study a book like the book of Esther by Beth Moore.

However, the emphasis is love and relationship. The groups are a safe, confidential place to share the intimate and practical things in your life.

Meetings are held at the Church or in Homes

Groups meet at the leader's home or one of the members of the group. Some groups meet at the church. (Childcare is available at the church and at some homes.)

90 Minutes of Worship, Bible Study, Prayer and Fellowship

The D12 meetings are designed to last approximately 90 minutes. Some groups stay for fellowship afterwards. The leaders are sensitive to your full schedule.

Confidentiality

Everything that is shared in the group is absolutely confidential. (There could be an issue that the leader is required by law to report.)

Child care is provided

Child care is offered for groups held at the church. Some home groups also provide child care. Please let us know your needs.

Become a Leader - D12 Leadership School

The three “R’s” explain our small groups: Revelation (of who the Lord is), Relationship (with other believers), and Reproduction (starting your own D12).

SCF offers D12 Leadership School to help you recognize your gifts and know how to give them away. Once you are settled in a group, you can begin to pray about starting your own D12 group. The vision is for a person to be IN and group and to be LEADING a group. (Co-leaders are strongly recommended.) Your D12 leader is also an important mentor to help you with your group.
