Have you ever imagined what it was like for Jesus, as He listened to the crowd around Him; badgering Him and mocking Him? They were yelling at Him to prove He was the Son of God by coming off the cross. He had stated He had to go to the cross and die; He had performed miracles in such volume that there were not enough books to contain them all, and yet the crowd wanted more. The very “miracle” they wanted was the one that would have proven He wasn’t the Son of God. He would have violated His word and been disobedient to the Father. What is the lesson for us? What the crowd is asking us to do is very seldom the right thing. The direction the Lord gives us through His word is always the right thing. Plus, you don’t have to prove who you are because you are who Christ says you are. I don’t prove by one event; I demonstrate by a daily process who I really am. I am free from peer pressure of performance and I am free to be who the Lord has said that I am. I am anointed, I am secure, I am accepted, I am a victor, I have purpose, I am gifted, I am a success, and I will spend eternity with the Father. It is okay to be you and not be worried what the crowd is telling me to do because the final person that I will stand in front of at the end of my life is my Heavenly Father and that is who I want to please.

Scripture: (Acts 17:28 TLB)  For in him we live and move and are! As one of your own poets says it, 'We are the sons of God.'
