If I could ask all of you to raise your hand if you have ever felt like you were a victim, I am sure that every hand would go up. I know there are a lot of people reading this who have not been able to get past the point of pain that was inflicted on you by someone close to you and you certainly feel like a victim. I don’t want to minimize the pain that you sense but I do want you to know there is victory waiting for you.

Think about Jesus and ask yourself was He a victim? I think you would have to agree that He was certainly the ultimate victim. Ridiculed by the ones He came to save and allowed to suffer great pain right out in front of everyone. Stripped of all dignity and made a public spectacle. Why would God allow His Son to go through that when He could easily have sent angles to bring a spectacular rescue? I am sure you have answered the question already; it was for you and me. He knew that we would be victimized during our walk here on the earth and He wanted a way of escape for us. Jesus trusted the Father was able to heal and rescue. Do you think the Lord is able to take the pain and make it a place of victory? Through the power of the Holy Spirit you will be able to forgive just like Jesus and then experience the resurrection Jesus experienced. Place your hurt on the cross and allow resurrection to replace the death. Jesus paid the price so your pain could be released. Receive today what He purchased.

(Rom 8:11 NIV)  And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.
