"Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were

written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me,

when as yet there was none of them." Psalm 139:16

Starting in verse 11, David begins to explain the great love the Father has for us.

He explains by revelation that the Lord formed our innermost being when we were

in our mother's womb. Even though no one else knew what was going on, the

Lord was busy making something beautiful and wonderfully made. We are special

in the heart of the Lord and there is no another just like us.

Verse 16 is the most amazing verse! Even before we ever saw the light of day,

my days were numbered. The Lord had a special purpose just for me. He has

recorded the purpose for my days in His book. There is a book about my life

before I ever lived it out. The Lord, in His foreknowledge, knows how we will

respond and the good works are lined up for us to walk right through and enjoy the

Lord's preparation.

The Lord does not make us do these good works; we still have a free will.

However, the Lord will work on our will to do His good pleasure and He is

confident that we will select the right path He has prepared for us. The Holy Spirit

in us is leading and we need to be sensitive to follow. The Lord has confidence in

us to make the right choices. It did not look like Jacob was going to turn out okay,

but he did, and the Lord changed his name to what He desired it to be, Israel.

The Lord has a new name for all of us and He is confident that the Holy Spirit is

going to lead us into the right place. Get ready to walk out the book of your life.

Thank You, Lord!
