WALKING IN JOY
Psalms 22:7, 8 show us a picture of Jesus on the cross. We see Him at one of His most painful times explaining to us how He was able to sustain and walk in victory. There are many times in our lives when it looks like everything is against us and there is no way of escape and that is just the time the Lord is able to bring a great victory. The Holy Spirit shows us here that the Lord was mocked and insulted. He is doing this for all of mankind. He is suffering for the very people that are mocking Him. 1 Peter 2:23 show us that when Jesus was insulted he did not insult back but entrusted Himself to His Father who was able and willing to bring victory. Faith demands that when I do not see a way of escape I see Jesus, who I am trusting will bring a way of escape. They even mocked Jesus that He would even trust God for deliverance. Have you ever had that happened to you? You are in faith expecting the Lord to be more than enough and the very people who are the closest to you are mocking you. Be encouraged, Jesus came out of death with a victory that showed those who mocked Him that it was right to trust in God. He also made possible for the very mockers, themselves to receive victory. Is that amazing? The very ones who were shouting curses had the opportunity to repent and receive the blessings of what Jesus did on the cross. What a great God we worship and serve. If you are in a place of pressure and people have turned against you, trust yourself to the Lord and He will deliver. You can walk in joy right now because victory is yours because of what Jesus did on the Cross.
(Psa 22:7, 8 NIV) All who see me mock me; they hurl insults, shaking their heads: "He trusts in the LORD; let the LORD rescue him. Let him deliver him, since he delights in him."
