I am sure you have heard a lot of people talk about what this year holds for the church. Is it going to be a year of uncertainty or a year of increase? I think the key is what you say will happen to you and your church. One great truth that is all through the word is that the Lord will save with a few or many. He seems to always use a remnant to bring His will into the earth. What is the Lord’s will for this year? If our heart is to proclaim the Gospel of the Kingdom, then we are going to have a good year. Sometimes we are watching the circumstances and then deciding if things are good or bad. We check the interest rate and then we conclude the economy is going good. What happens in this year depends on the church! We are the salt and light. If my people pray, then the Lord will heal our land. Much too much of the time we look at our circumstances and let them determine our mind sets and believe systems, instead of looking at the Word of God. Peter was walking on water and then he noticed the winds, he became afraid and began to sink (Matthew 14:22-33). The wind had nothing to do with Peter’s ability to walk on water. The wind could be blowing or calm and none of us could walk on water. It was not the circumstances that allowed Peter to do the impossible it was the Word of the Lord and faith in that word that allowed this miracle to take place. The coming year is exactly that for you. What do you have faith in and what are you watching. I have determined to watch the word and believe that this is the year that my impossible dreams are going to come about. The winds of adversity or doubt can swirl around me and I am going to keep my focus on the word of God. This a year when the Word of God is going to manifest in my life and the life of our church. All of those promises given by the Spirit of the Lord will manifest. The Lord will bring a revival to hungry people and we are hungry so we will be feed. Won’t you join me in shaping into a Godly year instead of letting shape us into fear and doubt?

(Isa 54:14 NIV)  In righteousness you will be established: Tyranny will be far from you; you will have nothing to fear. Terror will be far removed; it will not come near you.
