We love our city and our world through relationships. As a body, we are intentional about who we partner with as we serve compassionately and consistently in order to restore individuals and ourselves into right relationship with God, others, creation and self.

We take Matthew 28:18-20 and Acts 1:8 to heart. Missions is one of SCF’s main outreaches. SCF gives about 15% of our tithes and offerings to planting churches, supporting our foreign missionaries, local outreaches and assisting those who volunteer for short-term mission trips.

Short-Term Mission Trips

So that the people of South Coast can experience the cross-cultural experience that serving on foreign soil allows and experiencing how the Lord will ignite their hearts for the nations we send short-term mission teams to several different countries throughout the year. Maybe the Lord is tugging at your heart right now to serve. Check out the trips for the upcoming year.

Reaching Out to the Local Community

We believe that reaching out to our local community is another important step in SCF’s Missions outreach goals. SCF also invests funds in people and organizations that are ministering in Ventura county. Outreaches like CityKidz, Open Hands Food Pantry and feeding the homeless at Lyon’s Park each week are local areas of evangelizing.

We also support the following local missions: Church Resource MinistriesCity Center Transitional Housing in VenturaCity ImpactInternational Reconciliation CoalitionGabriel’s HouseJames Tunney, Navajo ReservationMarriage WellRadio Nueva VidaTeen ChallengeTender Life Maternity HomeVentura County Pregnancy CenterWorld Impact-Jessica FromanYoung Athletes For ChristYoung Life

We believe every young kid needs and deserves at least one person who is crazy about them. CityKidz is committed to fulfill that need, one kid at a time.
